Glad to see that Apollo Heights was well received. They are led by Danny and Daniel Chavis - formerly The Veldt (one of those "The Best Band that You've Never Heard Of). The Veldt recorded one of the best albums of the early 90's with "Afrodisiac" and did it on a major label Mercury. (Excellent Online)

I'm listening to an Apollo Heights EP I picked up at a TV on the Radio show. They're a shoegazer band but with the vocals out front and full of soul. Apparently two of the guys used to be in a band called The Veldt. (DVD File.com)
Danny & Daniel Chavis (not only are they brothers, they're identical twins) were in the Raleigh-based Brit-influenced swirlgazer-rockband The Veldt for years and years. After a long period in the wilderness of The Music Industry, which included some time split between NYC and NC.." (Local 506)
